Canadian Pacific

The great Canadian Pacific Railway also operated hotels and steamships, mostly across the Pacific, since the 1880's.  in 1915, they merged with the Allan Line, which significantly added to CP's Atlantic presence.  The last ships were phased out in the 1960's.   At least two of them are still sailing... the Empress of Canada, which became the Mardi Gras for Carnival Cruise Lines, is now the Appollon for Royal Olympic of Greece.  The Empress of Britain, who was Carnival's Carnivale, is now the Topaz for Thomson.
